History

Hyperion Technologies is a spin-off company of the Center of Excellence in Optical Wireless Communication Technologies (OKATEM) at Ozyegin University. OKATEM was established in September 2015 with a generous government funding from Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA). OKATEM is Turkey’s first R&D center specialized in the area of wireless communication (OWC). Hyperion Technologies was founded in February 2017 to commercialize the technologies developed at OKATEM.
